Overview
Testing Method
Over the past couple of weeks, I tested the new order registration process in Move with seven users who regularly register orders in RORD. Using a working prototype in Retool, I conducted virtual moderated sessions, allowing participants to interact with the app closely simulating the real experience.
Each session began with a brief overview of the test format and instructions for registering an order, including details like order type, order number, and estimate number. I also provided access to the test estimate in a separate tab for reference throughout the process.
After each participant finished the registration process, I asked the following questions:
- How did you feel about the overall process of registering the order?
- Was there anything that stood out to you as particularly easy or difficult?
- Were there any steps that felt confusing or unclear?
- Were there any points where you felt uncertain about what to do next?
- Did you notice any unnecessary steps, or was there information that felt repetitive?
- Do you feel that any steps could be simplified or automated?
- Did you trust the prefilled data, or did you feel the need to double-check it?
- How confident were you when submitting the form?
- Did you feel you had entered everything correctly?
- Were there any hesitations before clicking “Submit”?
- Was there anything missing that you expected to see?
- If you could make any changes to the process, what would they be?
- Do you have any other feedback or suggestions that haven’t been covered?
